University Research Company (URC) is an international organization dedicated to improving this quality of health care, social services and health education with headquarters in Bethesda Maryland USA. URC is currently implementing a project called Applying Science to Strengthen and Improve Systems (ASSIST) funded by
United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Nigeria mission. The program is designed to improve the well-being of vulnerable children and caregivers using quality improvement science methodology in Nigeria. URC ASSIST Nigeria office is currently soliciting for a talented and experienced Cartoon is visual Artist on a short-term basis to translate guidelines into cartoonist characters and develop a cartoon comic strip

Cartoonist/visual Artist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and draw cartoons that describes illustration on the written
quality improvement guidance
Develop easy to read guidance for orphans and vulnerable children
using cartoons
Develop personal ideas or read written material to develop ideas
from context
Discuss ideas with URC Chief of Party on cartoon sketches and
drawing and submit same for approval
Make changes and corrections as necessary and finish drawing
May develop and draw comic strips about URC work on the field

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Minimum of University degree in fine art, technical drawing or any other relevant discipline An advanced degree or professional certification preferred and an added advance
At least a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in cartoon work
with experience in translating written guidance into cartoon
characters Professional course or diplomas
Understanding of how to draw cartoons to tell a story Ability to sketch or draw, and a good eye for design Good communications skills
Fluency in both written and oral English required Creativity, originality and imagination Skills
